With RAL P1, 100 colors from the RAL CLASSIC color collection were for the first time transferred into an independent RAL plastics standard using a highly sophisticated process. These are the 100 most frequently requested color shades internationally.
The multifunctionality of the RAL PLASTICS plastic color plates provides maximum practical benefit: three different surface textures and three different material thicknesses give users a realistic impression of how the color behaves across a wide range of material applications.
Polypropylene was deliberately chosen for RAL PLASTICS. Polypropylene is a mass plastic widely used in many end products due to its balanced property profile and very good cost-performance ratio. In addition to its technical properties, its suitability for various manufacturing processes and compatibility with a wide range of colorants also make it an ideal material.
Plastic processors benefit from RAL PLASTICS by eliminating the previously time- and cost-intensive process of matching RAL colors from paint samples to plastics, thanks to the binding plastic standards.
